Reaching your hotel is easy when hiring a taxi. There are always taxis in front of the terminal building, at designated stands. Once you land and claim the luggage, go outside the terminal, where you can take a taxi directly to your destination. Although the taxi cost depends on the distance, traffic conditions and waiting time, the travel time is shorter and more convenient than bus or train. The journey from Schiphol to Haarlem city centre takes only 18 minutes under normal traffic conditions without congestion.
The dedicated taxi area is outside the terminal once you exit the Arrivals. During the busiest summer months, queues in front of the ranks can be long and waiting time is longer. However, better wait for an official taxi at the stand and avoid individual drivers offering transfer services.

There is no direct train to Haarlem from Schiphol, and you need to change trains at the Amsterdam Sloterdijk station. Sprinter or intercity trains usually leave Schiphol from Platforms 1, 2, 8 or 9. There are two stations at the destination. Do not disembark at Spaarnwoude station but closer to the city centre at the central station, an art nouveau gem and country heritage site.
