The metro network operates with two lines (Line 1 and Line 2), 60 stations and over 140 trains that run every minute, with no more than 8 minutes waiting time. The tramway system connects central Lille to surrounding communities via two tram lines. Over 65 bus routes cover the Lille area and several lines connect the French city with destinations in Belgium. Buses run every 15 minutes from Monday to Saturday, from 5:00 until midnight. Night bus lines also run on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

Although direct train line is not available from Lille Airport to the city centre, you can reach Gare de Lille Europe by shuttle bus or an airport taxi.
