Annecy is a town in the Rhone Alps region of southeast France, that’s replete with castles, cathedrals and softly curved architecture. Walk across the Pont des Amours which means The lover’s bridge before taking in the imperial Palace and baroque cathedral of saint pierre. A walk down to Rue Royale will be rewarded with prime shopping, dining and people watching at the Saint jean fountain.
In Annecy you can get around by bus, train or taxi. Annecy is only 30km from Geneva, so you can use any of the public transport, car rental or taxi if you would like to visit Geneva. It has fantastic scenery as it is surrounded by the alps so a walk around is a very pleasant experience.
Annecy or Mont Blanc airport is located of the town of Metz Tessy, just 3.5 km of Annecy. At present the only destination of Annecy airport is Paris Orly West with up to four flights a day by Air France.
