Superb service It was really easy to book online,.smooth transaction. I was really worried because our outbound flight was delayed by 3 hours, but we had been provided with the drivers contact number and were able to let them know and they responded that they would wait.
The driver was waiting in arrivals for us, even after it took hours to get through passport control.

Getting around in Sunshine Coast

The public transportation network is expanding and currently includes train and bus services. Regular bus routes connect the suburban areas of Noosa, Caloundra and Maroochydore and Sunbus provides most of the bus and train services. There are regular railway services to Brisbane available daily.

The car is the dominant transportation mode in the region. Therefore, renting a car is the easiest way to explore the Sunshine Coast area.

Sunshine Coast taxis are available 24 hours per day and operate according to State transportation regulations. The Queensland Government regulates taxi fares. There are secure taxi ranks with guards at Minchinton Street in Caloundra, Hastings Street in Noosa Heads and Mooloolaba Esplanade in Mooloolaba.

Three railway stations serve the Sunshine Coast: Caboolture, Bowen Hills and Gympie. Commuter trains depart from Gympie train station, whereas express interurban services leave from Caboolture and Bowen stations. Greyhound Australia provides regular bus services to Brisbane and Cairns.

Transportation options from the airport

Although many passengers land at Brisbane International Airport (BNE), the Sunshine Coast Airport (MCY) is the main holiday gateway. Direct flights are available from Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

Suncoast Cabs provide the Sunshine Coast airport taxi service. Airport taxis are available in front of the Arrivals. An additional fee applies for airport taxi pick up.

The TransLink shuttle bus picks up passengers from both terminals to Varsity Lake Station, with many stops along the way. It runs every 30 minutes from 05:04 to 22:04. You can find the airport bus stop on the left side of the Arrivals Hall.
