Salt Lake City is the capital of the state of Utah, known as the religious centre of the Mormons. It is famous for its unique mix of metropolitan city lifestyle and mountain living. The city’s urban culture has a unique historic feel, with many landmarks, local events and a vibrant nightlife. The proximity to the most popular ski resorts in Utah is one of the greatest advantages of visiting Salt Lake City.
The city is abundant with Mormon venues such as the Temple Square, Mormon Temple, and Mormon Tabernacle. On a beautiful day, take a walk in one of the picturesque parks like the Liberty Park, and This Is The Place, Heritage Park. December-March is the most popular period for visits due to the ski season, although tourists choose to visit in summer as well. The Utah Arts Festival in June and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s Christmas concert in December are the most popular annual events in Salt Lake City.
Although Salt Lake City is mostly car-oriented, the city offers a robust public transport that includes buses, TRAX light rail and commuter trains. Buses run to many places in the Greater Salt Lake Area, including Ogden, Salt Lake Valley, Utah County, Brigham City, and Park City. Ski buses are also available during ski season to Brighton, Solitude, Snowbird, Alta, as well as, to the Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons.
Downtown Salt Lake City is the main transfer point where all light-rail lines (TRAX) from across the valley make a stop. Commuter trains or FrontRunner operate on weekdays and Saturdays, with limited stops every 10 to 30 minutes from Ogden to Provo.
Salt Lake City is easy to visit by car, so car rental is another efficient way to explore the city. You can book the service online, or you can rent a car at the Salt Lake City International Airport.
Salt Lake City taxi service is a fast and quite affordable way to get around the city. You can find a taxi stand near some of the major hotels, or you can always call a local taxi company.
Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is among the busiest airports in the USA. The airport is around 8 km northwest of downtown Salt Lake City. Transportation from and to Salt Lake City Airport is available by TRAX light-rail, bus, shuttle bus, as well as, Salt Lake City airport taxi and private airport transfer.
The TRAX green line runs every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 20 minutes on weekends from the airport through downtown Salt Lake City up to West Valley City. The UTA Bus route 453 operates only on weekdays, from the Salt Lake City Airport to Tooele. Several shuttle bus companies organise shared transfer from the airport, while for a direct transfer you can take an airport taxi. Salt Lake City airport taxis are available outside both airport terminals.

The only reason for giving 4 stars was for the vehicle pick up from airport to resort was because of the vehicle being g a bit worn and tired interior.
Return to airport was excellent.
