Admir to the rescue! Our driver, Admir, was kind and helpful. Our plane was over an hour late, but he was still waiting for us. His driving was excellent and his car was clean and new. Once we made it to our AirBnB, things were confusing and he got out to look around for us, helping us find the location. Although Salt Lake City is mostly car-oriented, the city offers a robust public transport that includes buses, TRAX light rail and commuter trains. Buses run to many places in the Greater Salt Lake Area, including Ogden, Salt Lake Valley, Utah County, Brigham City, and Park City. Ski buses are also available during ski season to Brighton, Solitude, Snowbird, Alta, as well as, to the Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons.

Downtown Salt Lake City is the main transfer point where all light-rail lines (TRAX) from across the valley make a stop. Commuter trains or FrontRunner operate on weekdays and Saturdays, with limited stops every 10 to 30 minutes from Ogden to Provo.

The TRAX green line runs every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 20 minutes on weekends from the airport through downtown Salt Lake City up to West Valley City.
