Casablanca provides different types of public transportation, including bus, train and tram, as well as, car rental and local taxi service.
Getting around by bus is one of the cheapest options, although the bus system can be somewhat hard to understand. Intercity buses connect Casablanca to nearby Moroccan cities, as well as, to some European destinations. Buses depart from the central bus station in Rue Léon l’Africain.
Trams provide good connections with the surrounding neighbourhoods, with a frequency of almost every 10 minutes during daytime and early evening.
Car rental is another available transport option for those who choose to drive in Casablanca. However, the traffic is chaotic, and car rental prices are generally high.
The Casablanca taxi service is actually a shared service, available in two types and colours. You can take a red or a white taxi anywhere in the city, as long as you do not mind sharing the ride and making additional stops.
