Public transportation in the city
In Adelaide, it is easy to get around by public transportation, including bus, tram and train lines. The Adelaide Metro bus system stretches wide across the region, connecting Mclaren Vale in the south, Gawler in the North and Adelaide Hills in the east. A free line (City Loop #99C) is available with multiple routes across major commercial and cultural centres. Buses run every hour in the suburbs, while bus frequency declines significantly after 18:00 for most bus routes. For late-night hours, you may consider taking a taxi.
Tram service is available in Adelaide, as well. The whole journey takes around 30 minutes, and the tram stops at Adelaide Railway Station, Victoria Square and Rundle Mall. As for the Adelaide Metro Train system, four lines are available (Gawler Line, Outer Harbor Line, Seaford Line and Belair Line) with stations located close to some of the major shopping centres.

Adelaide International Airport (ADL) is one of the few business airports in Australia and is 6 km away from the city centre, near West Beach. Various transportation options are available from and to the Adelaide International, including bus, shuttle bus, car/ride sharing, as well as car rental, taxi service and private airport transfer.
Both JetBus and JetExpress services are available from and to Adelaide International, with pick-up/drop-off at the bus stop located on the left side of the plaza (along with Terminal exit). The JetExpress bus service is a double-decker express service that runs from Adelaide Airport to the city. The JetBus service operates to Adelaide City, West Beach and Glenelg. Airport shuttle service is also available as door-to-door service to hotel and business destinations in Adelaide.
Car rental, ride-sharing, and Adelaide airport taxi services are the other available transportation options. Car rental desk is on the ground level of the terminal, while the rent a car parking space is in the multi-level car park on the ground level.
