How to organise a transfer from Zagreb Airport?

Named after Franjo Tudjman, the first President of Croatia, Zagreb Airport (ZAG) is only 10 km from the central station in Zagreb. It is the largest and busiest in the country, with over 3.5 million passengers. The airport has one newly renovated terminal and features a large duty-free shop, 16 coffee shops, bars, restaurants and snack bars.

Zagreb Airport is easily accessible by airport taxis, airport shuttle, ZET bus and private airport transfer. ZET (Zagreb Electric Tram) covers two tariff zones and will stop at a total of 20 stations with departures every 35 minutes. The shuttle "Pleso Prijevoz" operates between the airport and the Zagreb Central Bus Terminal.

The airport taxi stand is available at the Passenger Terminal, located on the Terminal Arrivals Level.

We suggest booking a private Zagreb airport transfer with us for a direct transfer to your accommodation in a private vehicle. We organise transfers from Zagreb Airport to Jastrebarsko, Opatija, Pag, Plitvice Lakes, Samobor and many more. Our service is entirely customised according to your preferences, and you will get an all-inclusive service.

The airport transfer service includes direct transfer to your location in a comfortable vehicle, "Meet and Greet" at the airport, flight monitoring and free waiting time. You can get an instant quote online and pay the service by credit card or cash to the driver. The cost of a private Zagreb airport taxi is fixed.

Zagreb public transportation

In Zagreb, there are 134 bus lines, of which 78 urban and 56 suburban. The Zagreb bus service is regular but needs improvement. The bus stop signs are in Croatian, so if you don't understand the language, it is probably best to book a taxi. If you decide to travel by bus, you can buy a ticket from the driver and Tisak (newsagent).

There are also trams available for public transportation, but it can get very crowded during peak hours. The funicular is convenient for transport from Zagreb Upper Towns to Zagreb Lower Towns and vice versa. The Zagreb taxis are abundant, and in every taxi vehicle, there is a taximeter, so the price is not fixed and cannot be negotiated.

Places to visit in Zagreb

Zagreb, the capital and the largest city of Croatia, is the most crucial transport hub in the country, known for its captivating architecture and high quality of living. The city has three parts. Gornji grad is where you will find the Croatian parliament, the Presidential Palace, the church of St. Mark, and plenty of museums and galleries.

Zagreb Donji grad (lower town) is the 19th century part of town where you can find shops, restaurants, cafes, theatres and parks. The modern part of the city was built after the Second World War, and it's called Novi Zagreb.

Zagreb is full of historical landmarks and attractions. Some of them are Zagreb Cathedral, Mirogoj Cemetery, the Museum of Broken Relationships and Dolac Farmers Market.
