Feedback for airport transfer from Marina di Pisa to Pisa Airport

Taksi oli ajoissa paikalla, kiireetön ja auto oli juuri sopiva kahdeksalle hengelle ja matkatavaroille. Kuljettaja ajoi maltillisesti, btoiain kuin paikalliset bussit.

Feedback for airport transfer from Pisa City Centre to Lucca

Professional and helpful service. The driver arrived 5 minutes late, but this was because a part of the inner city was unexpectedly blocked. He was very professional, polite and drove carefully. At the end of the trip when for some reason my mobile wasn't behaving, he helped me by using his phone as a hot-spot for wi-fi. This was necessary to make contact with my host who was waiting around the corner where we couldn't see her. A very nice young man.

Feedback for airport transfer from Pienza to Pisa City Centre

The driver was punctual, the car was comfortable. He indulged me in two and a half hours of conversation in Italian. He was a very nice man. My only minor criticism was that the receipt he wrote for the money I gave him was not very official looking.

Public transportation in Pisa

As Pisa is a relatively small city, it is easy to reach your destination on foot or bus. The bus is the only public transport option in the city, and buses depart from the small bus station in front of the train station.

Pisa has two rail stations: Pisa Central Station and Pisa San Rossore station. The Thyrrenic line offers transport from Pisa to Naples and Rome, with stops at Genoa and Turin. San Rossore is a smaller station located close to the Leaning Tower and provides transportation from Pisa to Lucca and Pistoia.

Most popular places to visit

The well-known Pisa is in western Tuscany, on the two rivers - Arno and Serchio, in the Ligurian Sea. Besides its famous landmark - The Leaning Tower, Pisa is also renowned for its many other historical monuments and buildings dating back many hundreds of years and its excellent university.

In the northwest of Pisa, there is an area called the Piazza Dei Miracoli (Field of Miracles) with an extensive green lawn on which four enormous, impressive buildings stand. The stunning building includes the Duomo (cathedral), the circular Battistero (Baptistery), the cathedral's bell tower - the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the Camposanto, also known as the Holy Field. Other Pisa attractions are the Knights' Square, The Museo di San Matteo, Pisa's Botanical Garden as well as churches like Santo Stefano Dei Cavalieri, San Paolo a Ripa d'Arno, San Michele in Borgo, Gothic church of Santa Maria Della Spina or Santo Sepolcro.

The two town squares Piazza Garibaldi and Piazza XX Settembre, located at each end of the middle bridge Ponte di Mezzo, make the city centre.

Pisa is famous for leather goods, shoes, terracotta, wooden furniture and food. There are many excellent restaurants, pubs, pizzerias, wineries all around the city. Borgo Stretto or Corso Italia are the two most beautiful streets for shopping. The most interesting is the Antiques Market. Each second weekend of the month (except July and August), Piazza Dei Cavalieri's streets become a huge open market.
